"The room was simple but comfortable and warm. The hosts were nice. The place has a soul and history so that was pretty special."

There was a group that arrived without booking and there was not enough food, so the host had to go shopping and the dinner was late. There was enough food for everyone but not much variety for warm dishes, comparing with other guesthouses on the trail. The guesthouse is located off the main trail and the trail is a bit tricky.

It had everything you need in a guesthouse. However, some reforms need to be made, but the host told me he's working on it

"It's a beautiful hotel 10 out of 10. So comfortable and pretty. Very clean and you can have a beautiful view of the Nile. I absolutely recommend this place. It's the best choice if you decide to stay in this hotel. And Hamo is sooo nice and thoughtful. An excellent good cook as well. The breakfast he made is so delicious!! Love this hotel ❤️❤️❤️❤️"

While advertised as a B&B it is not like the many B&Bs we have visited over the years where you have access to a lounge and receive a full breakfast. The accommodations are really a bedroom and bathroom with a small eating area on the bottom floor of a row house unit. There was a patio outdoors which was nice but overall the space was small and the breakfast was a continental breakfast you made yourself.

Everything was great, The only small suggestion would be to offer either thicker blankets or a cozy duvet for extra comfort for those who likes to sleep with the air conditioning but gets super cold easily 😅

"Preljubazno osoblje, objekat je izuzetno čist. Sobarice svaki dan, osim nedjeljom čiste sobe i mjenjaju peškire. Prvo što sam primjetio kada sam ušao je intenzivno lijep miris. Prodavnica je odmah ispred smještaja a auto uska stanica 200 metara. Sve pohvale za ovaj objekat, nemam ništa loše reći."

No hay nada que no me gusto. Lo encontre marsvillos. Todos lugares atraen personas de distintos gustos...si te gusta una experiencia personal en una casa de historio que transmite cultura y preocupacion, esto es

"Endroit calme en plein centre de Nouakchott, petit jardin charmant avec piscine et surtout d'excellent petit-déjeuners réalisés maison, salade de fruits, pains frais tout droit venus de chez Eric Kayser (toujours juste ouvert à Nouakchott) et omelettes, cela fait plaisir."

When I was sick she made me tea and snack which I could take to the room. We had no car and they took us to Mavrovo. We really appreciate this! The location is also very good - near to Medenica and near to horse farm."

"My second time staying at the wonderful St. James Guesthouse. Returned back after 3 years, and it was even more wonderful than what I remembered. The owner along with all of the employees are absolutely lovely. You truly feel at home with a lovely family like atmosphere. The rooms are authentic and have exactly what you need. Enjoyed having Netflix on the TV along with Aircondition in the room. Breakfast was delicious with great additional options you pay a cheap price for. Location is the best in Roseau, next to a car rental, walkable distance to everything (Ferry terminal, Markets, Restaurants/bars, Local busses to Portsmouth or Trafalgar). Cannot recommend this place and the employees enough. One of the many gems in Dominica! Thanks to the team once again 🙏"

It is a bit out of the town but ok if you have a car. If there are many guests you will have to queue to use the shower room and toilet as it is a shared Barth room property.

Breakfast had some nice continental options and I especially enjoyed the herb tea. The host was wonderful- I don't speak French but was very easy using google translate. She gave great instructions for arrival. She also looked after me as and made sure I got to the start of my hike safely- she asked another couple to drop me at the trail on their way to Marla after she realised I was going to walk up the windy mountain road! If you are getting a bus there is also a stop right outside- although take care to plan as the buses don't run frequently."

"The location was perfect for what we were looking for, half way between diamond beach and Reykjavík. We arrived quite late and it was easy to check in and parked right outside. We also got to the see the northern lights that night!"

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The room was basic and nothing fancy but met our needs and was clean and that’s all we expected and were looking for.

"Very large comfortable room, clean and nice, kitchen available. Proprietor was very kind and helped me when I didn't manage to open the door."

Entrance is hard to find, I first thought I was in the wrong place.

"The fales are super nice with ocean view and were clean and well maintained. The family was so great and the food amazing. Bathroom was also ok. Snorkelling was good too, close to the beach you can see many small colorful fish. Another guest even saw a small (harmless if you leave him in peace) reef shark outside at the very edge of the reef. Easy access to eg ocean trench which is worth a visit. It felt like coming home and paradise"

"Steve & Geri are terrific hosts, and the kind of people you want to meet when you’re travelling. They were very welcoming and accommodating, and fun to talk to. The B&B location is both convenient for arrivals, and well-placed for a walk along the southern coast beaches. The decor of the room is also well-suited to provide character. Enjoyed the breakfast."
