"Our favourite stay in Oman! About 30-45 min drive from Muscat we found this hidden gem in the lovely village of Fanja. It has an amazing view over the Wadi where you can watch the beautiful sunset from the balcony. The owner is very friendly and we enjoyed talking to him about the history of this place which is owned by his family. It's very quiet and feels like staying on a farm surrounded by pure nature. It feels like very authentic Omani housing which we enjoyed a lot. The food was also exceptional. There is breakfast and dinner available which we highly recommend. I have a feeling that this place is going to become more popular in the next few years because of its very unique setting that offers its guests to calm down and just enjoy the quietness after exploring the busy city of Muscat."

"Nice modern and spacious villa with sea view. Well equipped kitchen with washing machine, nice bathroom. Only 1/2 hour drive from very nice coastal walks around Al Khairan."

The villa is within a new development, so Google Maps won't help you to get there and we didn't get detailed enough instructions. The closest restaurant (11minutes walking) is an outdoor venue, which was too cold for us on a windy January evening. Other restaurants are 25 minutes walking. Didn't expect so many mosquitos, even during the day in winter. The bed was too soft for us.

"The host welcomed us with open arms and was happy to give us advice on our itinerary. He also provided recommendations on where to buy meat for a barbecue. The property is in perfect condition and equipped with every comfort, ideal for relaxing and cooling off thanks to the private pool and the well-kept garden."
