"The view from restaurant is awsome, not many places in the world like this. Maria took care of us with love. Breakfast excellent, local fruits, tea and coffee, omelette. Excellent grilled tuna or other fish for lunch or dinner. Cottage was clean, with a view on ocean. We were almost alone there. It is possible to pay by eur or dobra. Maria also arranged tacxi for the airport."

Some more kitchenware would’ve been nice. Not much soundproofed but it was silent in the evening in the house; Only some youths outside parading their tuned cars up and down the road.

"Peace is the best host we have ever had. Looked after my wife, Daughter and I like we were family. We would turn in a heartbeat. Food was excellent. Peace’s brother even too us to the beach and rafting atm a moments notice"

"There was nothing to really "like" - nothing standing out - IMHO room facilities, decoration, bathroom and bedding where merely acceptable."

The owner's agony on low power consumption is obvious. 1) the fuse controling TV & AirConditioner was off - had to do a bit of troubleshooting in order to get the TV operational 2) lighting in the room extremely low 3) stove required ~45 minutes to prepare one cup of coffee. The road to get to the property is suitable for one way traffic. If you crossed with another vehicle one of the two would have to reverse. Pet friendliness was limited to the owner's pets and was not extended to the guests' pets. The owner resented the fact that I traveled with my pet noticing that I should have informed up-front.

"What an amazing place to stay. the house is beautiful and well decorated. The pool is amazing and made our holiday. The beds were very comfortable. The showers and bath were also very good. Plenty of cooking utensils and glasses and plates etc."

The meter for the air conditioning was a bit annoying but once I'd got enough coins ok.

Nothing much to mention. There can be an issue with other guests - if they are loud or smoke. But it’s negotiable

"This is very peaceful independent house. The atmosphere was really good. Owner picked me up and drop me off when I checked in and checked out. It is far away from the town, but local buses are running regularly. Easy to catch them."

The road to the house was not easy to walk when it gets raining. Dry season should be ok though.

"This is not a standard hotel or gite or whatever, this is a special place. Expect no luxury here, this is not what Karims guesthouse is about. It is about being in a small village and in nature. Basically, this is as close to a home stay as you can book on Booking. You can choose a room or the stilted house (recommended) in a garden full of interesting plants. Your water comes from a well or the river, your coffee directly from the bushes around you, and the food from...actually I don't know where, but it is amazing. One of the Kpime waterfalls is just a short, but nice walk away, and you can roam the village or take a long walk to Yikpa waterfall (~4 h one way). And when you come back, you lay in a hammock with a fresh and local cocoa or sit in the garden. And the best, you don't need to be in Kpalime, with all the chaos, noise, and smells. Although it is something different, I really enjoyed my stay. Karim is a fantastic host and La montagne verde exactly my type of stay."

Just be aware what you are booking, and there is nothing negative about it.

"The place feels like home and is just on the edge of the national park. The owner made sure I had everything I needed, even though he wasn't there for the majority of my stay. Suds and Didi that help at the guest house were so amazing. Very caring and friendly and made sure I was entertained during my stay. Didi's cooking is the best I had during my travels in Nepal. This place might not be for people that like comfortable hotels, but I loved staying in a mud house and being this close to nature. I highly recommend it."

Cleanliness could be improved. Flies and mosquitoes due to location. You need to keep fly and mosquitoes repellent
