"A friendly welcome at this lovely hotel. The breakfast buffet has bacon and eggs as well as fruit, yoghurts and pastries. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of the town, with its lovely cathedral, museums and of course the famous tapestry. Lots of restaurants for which advance booking is a good idea. Bayeux is a short drive from the D-Day beaches and it is popular with many international visitors as well as French nationals."

"What a delightful place. An old school converted into luxury rooms at affordable prices. Very attentive staff. We got upgraded as a suprise. Lovely location near the town & cathedral, just a sort walk away. Perfect location for visiting the Bayeux War Cemetery, which was our main reason for visiting the area."

"We were warmly welcomed at this 4* hotel converted boys school building where the classroom or dormitories have been transformed into very spacious, well appointed bedrooms. Our room on the first floor had tall windows overlooking gardens, nearby church and parts of the city including in the distance the famous Bayeux Notre Dame Cathedral. The bathroom was large, with a proper massive walk in shower. The breakfast was excellent comprising both traditional continental, other hot breakfast items, fruits and plenty of bread, pastries and cakes. Highly recommended this hotel as a base to explore the Normandy D Day landing beaches and history."

"L’emplacement est génial… 1 km de la station de ski, 300 m d’un départ de piste de ski de fond… L’appartement est très bien agencé, nous étions à l’aise à 5 + 1 bébé… tout est bien réfléchi pour accueillir un bébé( baignoire, lit, parapluie, barrière, jouets), et pour nous adultes, nous avions tous le nécessaire pour passer un bon moment… vaisselle, appareil à raclette, torchons, liquide vaisselle , éponge … Tout était très bien expliqué par le propriétaire, qui répondait très rapidement à nos questions… Attention, tout de même , à noter qu’il faut descendre 2 étages pour accéder à l’appartement… donc si vous êtes chargés, prévoyez quelques allers-retours… Je conseille +++"

"Everything! Just a note that the site says 10 km from Val Thorens. That measurement is from birds flight. However, 20 minutes away is Orelle ski area and from there you can park the car for free, equipment rental is inexpensive. Pay for your ski pass for Orelle & Val Thorens 4 hour pass for 2 = 105€ insurance included. A cable car and chairlift take you to the top of Orelle and from there you ski over to Val Thorens. The hosts are accommodating and friendly. You can visit the goats as they are being milked and visit the barn. See the cutest little pigs. I even got to milk a baby goat! Breakfast had nice options and dinner was delicious, plentiful made with local products and original homemade dishes. Wine and cheeses are available on site. The room is modern, shower is great, beds comfortable. There is a love seat that faces a huge picture window with a view on the mountains that takes your breath away."

"We stayed two nights and had a lovely stay. The hotel is a bit dated but it didn’t t matter as the location is superb, and the staff friendly and helpful. This is a small, family run hotel, and everyone works long,hours. We had a lovely meal in their restaurant, and the breakfasts were amazing with plenty of choice and beautiful, fresh vienoisserie and bread."

"Nice flat close to the pier where it is nice to walk. The flat gave the impression that there were a lot of things in the flat and some things were missing. One of the uncomfortable things was the table which was wobbly. We stayed with three of us and it was quite cramped on the ground floor. The beds are comfortable. The showers and toilets are great. The owner answered all our questions and was always friendly. We loved this flat. Highly recommended."
