"The accommodation hadn't been used for a few days and the heating hadn't been put on before our arrival, it was very cold when we arrived and took a long time for the apartment to warm up. We did mention this to our hosts who were mortified so I'm sure they would make sure this doesn't happen again."

"The Chalet was charming, well appointed, well equiped and comfortable. The owner Damienne was always supportive and helpful. We were able to converse successfully using translate apps that are on smartphones. I would highly recommend this chalet. The location is good, we were able to easily drive (up to) and park at the Bettex Arbois lift car park. There is then a walk (say 200m to the lift?). If you use the bus it takes you directly to the lift. We hired a set of skis and boots from a shop within a few feet of the lift. Their English was excellant and cannot recommend them highly enough, Loca Ski Betex 4360 Route du Bettex, 74170 Saint Gervais Les Bains. We found them via the Alpineresorts.com web site."

"Well equipped gite in a wonderful location. You can step out of the back door and set off walking. Stunning! Our two dogs were made very welcome. Friendly and attentive host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would certainly return if visiting the area again."
