"Very gracious host; beautiful French country house and property in a great location to access the Piste Cyclable Roger Laperbie cycle trail that runs from Sauvetere to Latresne near Bordeaux. Facilities include access to the large pool and deck, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor grill, washer and dryer, etc. so one can just stay in and relax as an option."

"Location is a bit remote if your goal is to explore Bordeaux city or the coastal areas of Arcachon and Cap Feret, unless you are willing to drive for an hour or so."

"Exceptional stay. We only stayed one night on a cycle tour along the Garonne canal. Vincent welcomed us with generosity and bonhomie. The location is superb in the vineyards surrounding Sauveterre and only minutes cycle away from the Roger Lapebie route. The house is gorgeous with a whole guest suite with huge dining/ living room, kitchen, outside patio and games area and a large pool- all surrounded by hectares of green luscious land and horses grazing. Our suite was large and had everything you could want. We had the most delicious dinner and breakfast cooked by Vincent. Wifi was fast and available everywhere in the guest suite. You can tell that Vincent has honed his hospitality skills over years as he has thought of everything that will make his guests comfortable. 100% recommend. I want to gather a groups of friends and come back as a larger party!"

"Large house with swimming pool and other facilities to use. There was 2 other rooms at the same time as us but did not bother us at all. Had a gas barbeque outside, host was kind enough to gave us a ride into town to buy groceries as we were on bicycles."

"Our group of 12 friends, cycling the Canal de la Garonne from Bordeaux to Toulouse, stopped for one night at the wonderful Bastide Cardan. The accommodation was lovely, and Vincent, our very welcoming and thoughtful host prepared a fabulous, all inclusive dinner (catering for a gluten free requirement) - and what a feast it was - definitely the most memorable and authentic meal on our trip! We'd have loved to stay longer in such a relaxing location, surrounded by nature, however we had to keep pedalling onwards to our destination in Toulouse. I cannot recommend Bastide Cardan and Vincent highly enough. Hopefully we can return in the future - and stay for longer!"

"Vincent the host was the most delightful host we have ever had. He prepared a fabulous breakfast, was generous with his time and his wine collection. The property was lovely, albeit with some signs of ageing. The horses on the property were sweet and enjoyed our raspberries and apples."
