Le Cocand

"Lovely appartment in a lovely old building, operate by a lovely couple of owners. Thick walls against the heat and the noise - but then the Rue Cocand is a pretty quiet one to begin with. It is roomy, located at 50m from the cathedral in the historic old center of town. The kitchen comes with a good espresso machine - coffee and "madeleine" pastries included! The shower is great even for someone as tall as I am (1.89 m). The bed is a bit high off the ground but very comfortable."

"I can only think of one improvement to make and I mention it only to illustrate just how excellent the appartment is: a shelf for toiletries would be nice to have in the bathroom."

"I think a floorplan would be helpful. We were 3 adult friends sharing. The person on the sofabed had to go through the bedroom to the toilet in the night. Not ideal for all groups. This is more an issue with Booking.com as we asked for 2 bedrooms. A tiny maintenance repair needed. Instructions for bedding need a little more detail."

"It was truly delightful and an exceptional find! Plenty of atmosphere and sympathetically restored. The courtyard was a perfect place to drink a glass of wine and Victoire had some excellent recommendations. We were fortunate to arrive for La fête de la musique in france s d were highly entertained! Victoire was a perfect host too."

"The apartment is very conveniently located, off a gorgeous courtyard right by the cathedral. The host apologised for not greeting us in person, but made herself available had we needed anything. The apartment was clean and very cosy. We would highly recommend following the bakery and restaurant recommendations in the booklet provided!"

"Such a stunning, picturesque apartment in the heart of beautiful (belle) Autun! We had a fabulous time relaxing in the morning out of the heat as the apartment stayed cool for 2 days in 30 degree celsius weather, playing French music with the provided speaker and enjoying all the thoughtful and provincial decor. Cannot recommend enough, Victiore is an amazing host, and we want to stay forever!"
