"The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. The bathroom was old but the hot water worked well. There was a fridge. Overall a decent stay."

The toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor. It feels a bit out of town but only a short drive away.

The views were absolutely beautiful and we could truly enjoy and admire them during our stay. It made the whole experience even more special. Both the dinner and the breakfast were delicious and the overall standard of the hotel was excellent. Everything was very well taken care of and we felt really comfortable throughout our stay. "Located in a quiet, idyllic location near the town center, it felt like a little retreat every time we returned home. It’s a spacious house which keeps cool due to the tiling and multiple doors you can open. We didn’t need air con in September. We could close the gates so the dogs couldn’t get in, this allowed the kids to play outside. The three year old was so excited to have swings. After time in the outer islands we really needed to freshen up, so the showers and washing machine were helpful. There was good amounts of drying space, the kitchen was fully functional, and we were given our space to enjoy our holiday."

Tonga is super basic so expectations of any accomodation need to keep this in mind.

As shown on the wesite, the courtyard is a truly delightful spot, especially in a sunny morning, and important if you wish to eat or chat with your fellow travellers, as our rooms were too small for that. The staff were kind an helpful, and the daily room service and available linen service, ensured a clean room (and clean clothes). The location was close to where our conference was held and in a short walking distance the the lakeside, parliament house etc. Other city sights, the Plaza shopping mall, etc were usually an inexpensive taxi ride away."

The absence of wi-fi and difficulties getting an internet connection the courtyard and my room was a real inconvenience, only solved by purchasing a local sim and forgetting about my usual roaming arrangement for keeping in touch with family back home.

"A very warm and helpful host who gave us great support. My mother unfortunately injured herself while hiking and he didn't hesitate for long and applied hot compresses with salt. As she could no longer walk, he even gave her a walking frame and drove us personally to the train station on our departure. The location was great. "What an AMAZING place! The cabinas are well spaced apart and feel very private all located a in stunning and vibrant location. The wildlife is right on your porch, we saw howler monkeys’s, white faced monkeys, agouti, iguanas and lots of birds. The pool is perfect for cooling off after a day exploring Montezuma. The cabins itself was very comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the hammock! It was very well kitted out with everything we needed for cooking as a family of 3 and the pre chilled bottle of water in the fridge was greatly appreciated on our arrival. Location wise it is perfectly situated only 5 min away from shops and supermarkets where you can get all you need and in the pother direction (around a 3 min drive) is Montezuma, with loads of delicious places to eat and lots of stunning places to explore. We most definitely felt at home here and didn’t want to leave"

Went beyond by providing some did you know?... sound of falls in pool was soothing. Kitchen facilities clean and complete with all needs. Yes I would come back in a heart beat."

Pool abit dirty and not clean completely. I would add ice machine or an available freezer for our ice. Lack of close by restaurants is a bummer.

"Everything: location, interior design, hospitality, cleanliness, the fact that there is a private gated parking for the guests! I felt like visiting someone’s house, not a hotel, it was so cozy and calm. I will definitely stay there again in the future!"

"Cozy and clean guesthouse located in a good area. Rooms are spacious and have everything you could want. Personnel is exceptionally friendly and can help with all kinds of issues. Breakfast and food in general is really delicious! Have been here three times now and will come back again soon."
