Absolutely enjoyed our stay. loved listening to her speak of her children. the love in her eye's that that shows for her children and moko's that live in Aotearoa when speaking of them. As well as her belated husband. "Large comfortable room. Good breakfast and dinners. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. In particular the brother of the manager who covered food, service and many other things. Along with another young man who did likewise, plus he did an excellent job of guiding us on a hike through Palm Gardens and Gorge Du Todra. When we were making our booking we enquired about access as we were planning a long trip with heavy luggage. We were told in advance that there is a steep path and stairs from the road but that we would have our luggage transfered for us by staff and Jack the donkey. On arrival and departure that was done by the staff and lovely healthy looking well cared for Jack. So our stay was overall very good."

The only things were the mounting bracket for the shower head in the bathroom faces the head straight out. No big problem for us as we just held it by hand. But some people may not be comfortable doing that and a new mounting bracket would be a good idea. The second thing was a leak from the pipe suppling the bathroom sink. Which meant that the bathroom floor away from the shower was wet and could be slippery. There was a floor blade left in the bathroom to use but the leak would not be a major job to fix so would be worth doing.

The hotel is located only a 2 minute walk from the central square and I highly recommend this tiny little gem of a hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Brugge."

The room(s), I've been staying in the one facing the street, are well lit and comfortable even for a longer stay, offering privacy and leaving room for some exchange with the owners as well. For me, having visited the Singapore tourism highlights on a previous visit, it was not an issue at all, but good to be aware that those highlights take a bit of time to get to. Also good to be aware you are welcomed into an actual home while the owners are living there. It's part of the charm.
