"I really enjoyed my stay here - the hotel is like an oasis of calm in Bissau. Staff were all wonderful, friendly and helpful - special thanks to Mariama who very kindly went above and beyond her duties to accompany me to the market so I wasn't alone. Good buffet breakfast, clean swimming pool, lovely gardens, spacious rooms. I felt very safe here as a solo female too."

The weakest part of the hotel is the restaurant catering for breakfasts and all meals: the place that looks like a canteen, is not welcoming. The prices for food are for too expensive. The food is good quality. Spiritless Hotel as it feels very empty.

"Dorucak je bio odlican, preporucam Irish breakfast. Osoblje je izuzetno ljubazno i susretljivo, polozaj hotela odlican, uredjenje hotela fantasticno. Ako volite romane Agathe Christie i njezinog detektiva Poiro-a onda dodjite u ovaj hotel jer je uredjenje u tom stilu, meni se jako svidjelo, kao da ste u muzeju. Za veceru je na meniu ogranicen izbor, ali smatram da je to prednost jer su sva jela bila izuzetno ukusna i porcije obilne. Jako mi se svidjelo sto je svaku vecer bila ziva glazba i tradicionalni irski ples. Takav irski dozivljaj sam i htio iskusiti."

Madraci su trebali biti udobniji, pokrivaci i jastuci su sinteticki. Kad se pokrijete odmah vam je vruce i tesko se namjestite. Ulozite malo u madrace, jastuke, pokrivace, dovoljno je da kupite bolje madrace iz IKEA-e kao i jasuke i pokrivace od prirodnih materijala, tako mozete izbjeci i alergijske reakcije. Mala investicija a gostu puno znaci. Podovi su drveni pa se gosti iznad vas cuju kako hodaju, meni nije osobno smetalo, ali mojoj supruzi jest.

Breakfast could have been better..There was no smoked salmon which I love, and there was not a lot of different cheeses and cold meats for me..Otherwise very good

It’s a bit way out to get to any bars or restaurants on foot- St.Lawrence Gap, £10 e/w, for amenities. Walk at your peril the roads & drivers are haphazard & it takes a good half hour if you’re relatively fit!

"The staff are wonderful and very consistent of disability. The restaurant is excellent with a large menu and reasonable prices. The Indian food is especially good. The surroundings are stunning. There is a farmers market there one Saturday a month"

"The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are clean and spacey. The bed is very comfortable and the internet is fast. The staff is very friendly and also gives tips for sightseeing tours. Breakfast is also available around noon. The quality-price relation is very good for this hotel. We would book this hotel immediately again."

The AC and the Fridge in our room were not working but immediately we reported, they were fixed.

Not enough equipment to use kitchen. Had to ask for glasses. lower floor quite noisy from the bar downstairs. Also had to ask for a quilt as there was only a sheet on the bed and we were cold.

"Clean hotel in the city center, next to a mini market. Warm room without many amenities but quite spacious bathroom. On the plus side, parking in a public area under the hotel.The view of the restaurant was amazing."

There is not a direct access of the parking to the hotel. The breakfast was poor as there was no hot dishes (scrambled eggs i.e.) and there was the only option of black coffee even the restaurant was servings other coffees the rest of the day.

"Authentic building, clean and quiet. Quite a backyard of hustle Thamel. Spacious room, stable hot shower, the eco-conscious parts were highlights! The staff were more than helpful! Pitifully we just stayed for 2 nights and missed the yoga class. We had dinner and it was worth trying!"

Hotel was bit far from city center and there is no close local bus stop. However, for people who don't mind bit of walk it is very good. One window couldn't be closed completely but I didn't notice it right away. I am sure staff would come and check it, but it made general feel in room bit more cold than it should be.

"I had a really great stay here; the staff were friendly and helpful, my room was spacious and very comfortable; the breakfast buffet was tasty and varied and the two restaurants served excellent food. Despite the high quality and fact Kempinski is an international premium brand, the room rates and restaurant prices were very reasonable"

Please note the hotel is about a 30 minute walk from the main square and public taxis are very few. To get around, you need to have a Mongolian SIM to use the taxi apps, master the bus system, of hitchhike

"Everything about this hotel exceeded expectations! The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The location is absolutely perfect - right near Plaza de Armas, making it easy to walk to all the main restaurants, shops, and tour starting points. The high-end restaurant on-site offers excellent food and service, which was very convenient. Having a spa available at the hotel was a wonderful amenity - perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. They provided excellent recommendations and assistance with arranging tours."

Honestly, there's nothing to complain about. The hotel delivered on all fronts and provided an exceptional experience throughout our stay.

"We stayed in a club room which gave us access to the Club Lounge. The lounge was excellent great food all day and the staff were exceptional. When you consider we were trapped in the Hotel because of the war we could not have been in a better place. Everyone was caring and so helpful. Wonderful Hotel made so by the staff"

this could be improved: -the beach has a lot of potential, buiding a nice peer with stairs for a sea swim would make it much better -there isnt enough shade in the garden and the sun is punishing -the trees on the beach have fruits that hurt when falling, as part of garden maintenance they should be shuffled to drop the fruits upfront -the restaurant options both for breakfast, meals and snacks, leaves out a lot of the good things of Sao Tome. Look at your competitor Riu, for instance, they always have a section with local treats
