Many pigeon droppings outside, even arround the pool. Very loud ventilator in the bathroom. Bad smell outside at night.

My friend and I stayed at Anbat Midtown Hotel during a difficult time due to the war, yet they continued to provide excellent hospitality and made sure we felt safe and well cared for. "I stayed at Le Bellerive in Payret le Chateau on a recent motorcycle trip.Greeted by Alfred, I got a fabulous room overlooking the lake. I dined in the restaurant and had the recommended Coq au Vin with a soap starter and desert which were all absolutely delicious with lovely ambiance both inside and out. Easy parking for my bike too just under my bedroom window. I would recommend this hotel to all travelling in this location Peter Ireland"

"The pool was necessary but a little dirty. The ac is effective and the hot water is too. You cant ask to much of hospitality businesses in this part of west africa but this place exceeded them. This place is great for overlanders"

Its definitely more of a "hang out" hotel for locals to come swim or watch football. It will probably be a little rowdy on some weekends. The staff seemed a little confused how to handle overnight guests.

"Suite was spacious, all amenities were in place, as expected. Also, there is a restaurant on the ground floor. Plus a cool hair dryer, thanks."

Distance between bed and the walls was tiny, you have to do some physical exercise to get in. Also, the toilet felt a bit fragile :)

"Great small hotel and pub. Good breakfast with pancaces and best scrambled eggs I ever had in any hotel in Europe. They could sell it as separated dish and I would buy it every morning. Lot of TV channels for every taste."

"After a busy day of driving from Hokitika, we decided to split our drive to Kaikoura by staying at this hotel for one evening. Upon check-in the young woman clearly explained the restaurant hours, breakfast plan and how to use the outdoor jacuzzi which we definitely utilized for star-gazing later that evening. Since the hotel is literally in the middle of mountains and valleys and rivers, the views from the hotel/restaurant/villa were fantastic. We spent a few hours star-gazing the Milky Way which is our passion and one of the objectives for staying here for the evening. Given the hotel's location, the restaurant menu was quite limited which is a shame but understood given its remoteness. Lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for those considering....."

Everything was great except the restaurant menu was quite limited for dinner the evening we visited....
