"Honestly couldn’t ask for anything better. Great location- 10 minutes away from The 7 Rila lakes, food was amazing, the itslef place was soo cozy and welcoming. "Breakfast was fine - just remember to inform the owner the day before if you require breakfast. Ingrid, the co-owner, is a lovely woman and a fine, traditional cook. You will never leave the table hungry! Whilst she can offer beer at an extra cost, we tended to buy our own along with wine to drink at dinner. Again, you will need to inform Ingrid on the day if you require dinner later. There is no choice; me and my wife are both omnivores with no allergies or intollerances, and always liked what she prepared! Our lodge was spacious with a generous deck overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the sea in the background."

A small fridge in our lodge would have been a great bonus - however, we were free to use Ingrid's fridge. The shower was also a little on the dribbly side!

Some of the appliances are tired and therefore unreliable and need updating . The internal phones dont work so if there is a problem you have to call the reception in a building down the hill on your cell which if you are from abroad is an expensive exercise.

"This place is magical. It is suited in the beautiful nature, when you wake up in the morning you only hear the birds singing. But the same time you are the city center in a few muinutes. I love the community style. You are allowed to use the drinks and snackbar anytime and on the base of trust you pay at the check out. I arrived from germany, and without any more costs, a late check in was possible. The owners were very nice and helped out with any questions. I definitly comming back and I warmly recommend this place!! ;-) Thank you."

The cottage is really small and stuffy esp when it’s hot. window without mosquito net, thus we cannot leave it open in the nite, too much mosquitos and horse fly.

We had to change room as we didn’t know from the description, that it was in a shared apartment. That information should be clear on booking.

"Everything. In summer, when the site is full of campers, the view from the cabin would be obscured by tents. But, end of September, when we visited, our view was green lawns sloping down to the river. Lovely."

Booking.com told us it was 7 miles from Vianden. It is not. 22-24 depending which route you choose. We had planned to go the 7 miles back to Vianden for dinner, but 22 winding miles? No.

"Super place for the price. I had my own room with air con and a toilet and shower. It’s 800m about to the bus station and walking distance to most restaurants and stores in Savusavu. Practically next door to the historic Planters Club. Ron the owner is really kind and at the beginning drove me around to show me what I could do in Savusavu. I had a wonderful stay"

Sometimes it can get a bit noisy if the early morning ferry leaves for Suva a couple of times a week. I stayed in the front facing g the ocean. Maybe it was quieter at the back? But really there were no complaints

"Beautiful cottage that I mostly had to myself. There was access to the kitchen, television, and the yard. The host was a lovely man and very kind and helpful. He was also so relaxed about everything. I had the option to use a pool at another hotel as well which was great. I also appreciated the well wishes messages from the host and his staff member when I departed."

"Staff went above and beyond to make our stay for my birthday a wonderful experience. Hotel was in the perfect location for ease of access to the train station and the town itself. Amenities were clean and room was spacious."

Overall the decor and energy of the hotel felt a bit dated but not a massive complaint that would stop me from booking again in the future as there was more positives to outweigh the aesthetic.
