"It’s beautiful and serene very quiet at night despite the proximity of the Square and souks"
"The little alleyway to it is poorly lit and grubby and a stroppy teenager seems to hovers frequently at the top of it telling you it’s closed and insisting he’ll guide you another way - which is tedious and annoying"

"Riadh Les Hibiscus was a little oasis of calm in the hubbub of the busy city of Marrakech. The location was great. Just a stone’s throw from the Jemaa el Fnaa square. We had our two young kids with us, meaning we could escape back to our room at a moment’s notice if everything got too overwhelming for them. The staff were lovely, and helped us out with everything we could need - laundry service, directions, arranging transport to the airport, and the incredibly necessary pots of mint tea once the girls were asleep. We always looked forward to the delicious breakfast, which included homemade bread and pancakes, with eggs, honey and tasty tomato and carrot jams. The roof terrace was also lovely when the weather was warm enough. The rooms were well-furnished, and comfortable. With all rooms facing the interior courtyard (as all Riads are, I think) it was quiet - even for the morning call to prayer (!) - and not too bright first thing in the morning."

"We were very cold in mid January and there was insufficient heating in the bedroom. Lighting in the room was poor and we found the bed exceptionally hard. Although we occupied a junior suite there was no separate bathroom—the wash basin was in the room and the shower was in an alcove."
