"The hotel is just 5 minutes from the airport, which is very convenient. The hosts were extremely kind, welcoming, and hospitable."

"Maybe the best value in Iquitos if you don't need to be within walking distance of the city center. Plenty of transportation and food just a block or so away. Really nice staff, and there's an incredibly huge crocodile skull (Black Caiman?) in the lobby. Clean, comfortable, and everything worked well enough. I stayed in a three-person room on the corner with a big window. The single rooms are a lot less nice, but still have air conditioning."
"Cold water shower and air conditioning is a slightly tricky combo. The air conditioner on my room was old, loud, and slow - it actually looked like the single rooms might have better ones. There was some small confusion about my booking - they at first wanted to put me in a single room after I had paid for a double, but after I explained the problem they were helpful and flexible. The main hotel entrance is padlocked all the time and you have to ring the bell for someone to let you in or out - a major hazard if there was an emergency, though they were good about being on standby. There was a power outage for a couple hours one evening, and they didn't have a backup generator (dark and hot). But I've been through a lot worse! Windows are darkly tinted, but that's almost universal for budget places in this region (I hope one day Latin America will discover double-paned glass)."

"The hosts are very kind and quick to answer via message or help in person. One day I forgot my keys and was locked in between my room and the front door. Even though I had no phone I managed to contact them and they came immediately to rescue me. The location is outstanding. The beach is immediately in front of the door and you hear the beautiful sound of the ocean all day. Groceries can be done by foot or Motortaxi as well as ATMs. The only accomodation that is not overpriced in Zorritos!"

"La Cabaña de Huerta Mar es un ambiente acogedor que brinda calidez y calma. Los anfitriones son personas muy amables y atentas a cualquier necesidad. Cuentan con una huerta adorable y unos acompañantes de cuatro patas cariñosos. Los techos elevados de la casa hacen que se mantenga el ambiente lo suficientemente fresco a comparación de la sensación térmica que se percibe al exterior. Considero que es un ambiente excepcional para quienes buscan un refugio hogareño y calmado. Linda experiencia :)"

"The pool was pristine, very well looked after and warm! Staff were friendly, we were the only guests for most of our stay because of it being rainy season and just outside of carnival time when it was fully booked. There are a number of animals (dog, cats etc.) which are also very keen to get to know you! It's right on the beach and while you can't enter the sea as it's very choppy, it's nice to walk along. You can also sit on covered seats on the beach and watch the sun go down. Food didn't make us ill which is always a bonus. Bed was massive and shower was really powerful."
