"The unit was very very clean. We were close to the beach. Walking distance. Beach towels , chairs and umbrella were available. There was a beach bar right on the beach that we ate at. We did not rent a car. We used M&M taxi while we were there. Awesome service. We also ate at Miss B. Another spot on the beach front. We enjoyed our time. Thank you. We were a party of three. Wifi was able to handle all your streaming needs."

"Getting keys from the wall safe was easy. The place itself was lovely and quiet. Comfortable beds. Good heating. Nice small kitchen. Two bathrooms, one en-suite. Cosy living room. Good range of channels on the TV. Plus you are only a 10 minute walk from the Minster and old town, and only 20 minutes walk from the train station."

Weird smell coming from the kitchen cupboards under the sink.

"We had a very comfortable and quiet 2 week stay in the Sunset Room. The entire cottage is beautiful and immaculately kept by Demi. We had everything we needed to cook at home but also enjoyed many meals out at local restaurants. Our morning coffee on the balcony before our daily walks on Shoal Bay beach (5 min drive away) were a great way to start each day. Use of the laundry facilities was much appreciated. Hot shower, quality towels, linens and bath products. Demi was very helpful with recommendations. The location was great as we had a car to explore the island. Nothing in Anguilla is far. We loved everything about the island and would highly recommend any of the rooms at The Hidden Cottage."

Breakfast was poor, can improve quality

"The location was excellent and very convenient. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the apartment itself was very spacious. Overall, the place was really good and we enjoyed our stay."

The cleanliness of the kitchen area was disappointing. There were dirty dishes with coffee stains left in the cupboard, which suggests the kitchen had not been properly checked after the previous guests. Basic items such as a kitchen towel were also missing. Most of the lights in the living room were not working. Only one light in the kitchen functioned, and the lamps did not work either. There was also no lighting available in the bedroom, which made the space difficult to use at night. In addition, Wi-Fi was neither offered nor available at the accommodation. While we did not specifically ask about it in advance, it is generally an expected amenity and would have been helpful during our stay.

That Booking.com is proposing a property which is not available before April 2026. By doing so, I could have ended up on the island of Bequia on a Sunday night with nowhere to sleep.

El Departamento con varios ambientes y camas, y todo muy limpio y con ropa de cama muy completa- Ducha Eléctrica y amplio baño, con Papel higiénico y jabón. La Cocina con artefactos electricos en perfectas condiciones, alacena con Vajilla completa, té y Azúcar. "What a great surprise this find is, staying with a local community and eating the traditional food ,only 25mins walk to a private beach and 10min walk to the ash fields . Here the rumble of the mountain like its a distant thunder storm. The kids will show you around with great enthusiasm. And all being close to the volcano and hot springs and the hosts will arrange any other activities and transports needed , This is the real deal don't miss out .
