"I loved my stay at Mama Shelter. The hotel style is fancy, the room is functional, Dyson hair dryer, comfortable beds, great lighting system and the pool area invites to rest. The MRT station and buses are nearby and also shopping and food options round the corner. I will come back again ;-)) lastly, thanks to the friendly staff for a great stay!"

"The location of the hotel sits just footsteps away from Chinatown subway station, very easy to follow. We only need to follow exit A of the train station going to Paradox, smith street and others. As you alight from the station, the massive souvenir shops of the chinatown will welcome you. The location was exceptional when it comes to access to transportaion, cheap shopping and food experiences. The staff were accommodating. We also meet our kababayan who worked there. The hotel was a bit old but it maintains its classic appearance and it is clean 100%. The price is worth it! Definitely would recommend this place to those who are looking for budget and accessible friendly stays. Not recommended to those who don't have patience with using the stairs."

Caution: It doesn't have lift, or we were not just informed it has lift! hahaha. But for our experience, our room is located on the 3rd floor, we used the stairs because we don't see any lift. haha. so we step on the stairs with our luggage. hahaha. Another thing, every morning wether you stayed there or you are out, they will open the room to replace and clean a bit of the room. Though your stuff is 100% safe when it comes to security, it is better to bring your important things always.

Big thanks to him again 🙏🏼 They are still doing some minor adjustments to the property, so it‘ll become even better! Just be aware that the bathroom site is outside (but covered) so no issue (unless very heavy rain)"

"This was a homestay with a very kind young family. The location was unbeatable, being literally 1 minute from the SengKang MRT and the Compas One Mall where I had a few meals. The choices were unlimited. There was also a Cold Storage supermarket which was super convenient too. The room was small but clean, the bathroom clean and hygienic. Bath and face towels were supplied as were shared toiletries."

Thsse are minor critiques and probably more that I am not used to the situation than an actual problem. 1. Not toilet paper is kept in the bathroom, but the hosts provided it once I mentioned I would like to have toilet paper. 2. On the first night the power was turned off some time during the night. I woke up boiling hot at 2am. After bringing my observations to the hosts, this did not occur again during my stay. 3. The water pressure is only adequate. The water is only lukewarm but as it is so hot in Singapore, this didn't affect me. I still enjoyed my stay and the room suited my purpose to efficently attend a workshop in Singapore.
