"We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice to have water bottles given, but the host said we are able to drink the washroom tap water, which we did. Received fresh towels each day, which is always appreciated. Would stay here again due to the affordable cost right in the heart of Venice!"

"It's not often you get to stay in a room that's over 1000 years old. I also really liked that it was located in the quiet area of town but an easy (and visually lovely) walk to the main hub (around the grand canal). Nicoli is also a very charming, helpful host. The adjoining living area is very elegant and just a nice, comfy place to retreat if you are tired of your room and want somewhere quiet to work or read. My room wasn't huge but I don't like large rooms anyway so that suited me just fine and the bathroom was an ensuite so very convenient. The bed was very comfy. I've found in all the hotels I stayed in in Italy that the mattresses aren't as soft as in Australia or the US but again, I prefer a firmer one so that suited me too."

"I would have liked replenishment of the tea and coffee sachets. There was only a couple of each to start with and it's a drag to go and buy more for only 2 days as then I'd have to carry them around in my backpack and they're bulky. Also the kettle kept switching itself off and I couldn't plug the hairdryer in the bathroom outlet as it only took shavers and the other outlets had been taped over. A small fridge in the room would have been welcome too. The only one availble was in the hallway outside my room which can be noisy when accessing."

"Excellent hospitality, both of the staff we met were extremely helpful and accommodating. The bed was super comfy, and the room was spacious enough and clean. In pictures, it looks more classy and well preserved, but in reality, it looks a bit outdated. Some small changes would make the place look fantastic, mainly a bathroom renovation or at least to replace the bathroom curtain with a glass so it doesn't stick onto you when showering. Overall a great stay, was a really good experience, mainly cause of the amazing staff and the comfy bed."

"The room is very clean and the host is very friendly and helpful. The toilet is very clean and the host has done so much to help us. Location is very good and convenient. Helper keeps the room neat daily, helps with the rubbish. Nichola was also there daily at certain hours which was really helpful when we had questions."

"Just some areas of improvement, not really things that made me dislike the property per se. The toilet has a consistent strong bleach smell or some cleaning liquid smell which maybe I was sensitive to but my husband had no comments. Stairways could do with some lights at night, we had a torch so it was alright."
